NVIDIA’s New App: Taking User Suggestions About Legacy Features

NVIDIA has announced way back that they are going to discontinue their current Control Panel app and introducing a new app called NVIDIA app. The new app will provide the users with the much-awaited modernized user interface. They are also going to unify NVIDIA Control Panel, GeForce Experience, and RTX Experience apps into this single app.

Currently available settings in the new NVIDIA App

It is already available for beta testing, so if you are interested in trying the new app before it is publicly available, you can do so by downloading the beta version from their website.

NVIDIA app will be completely revamped; however, they are now asking their users what features they want to keep from the old Control Panel app and what to leave out in the new NVIDIA app.

NVIDIA’s Survey For Their New App:

NVIDIA has published a Google Docs for their survey, asking the users about the features they would like in the new app and how the features will be useful to them.

While they want to add the features from all three apps (NVIDIA Control Panel, GeForce Experience, and RTX Experience), it obvious that having too many features may slow down the app experience. So, they want to provide the features which are useful to the users while maintaining the app as lightweight as possible.

You can fill the survey from NVIDIA here.

The survey includes questions on what features are important to us and how important do we perceive the feature to us. Apart from that, they are also asking how we use the legacy app features, why do we use them and what would make us use the new app.

If you want some feature which is not listed in their form, you can add that in “Other: A Feature I Use Isn’t Listed Above” section.

Conclusion:

It is good to see that NVIDIA is taking user feedback while they are developing their new app. It will be interesting to see how their new app turns out to be. It is still in beta testing, but you can try the app and share your experience with NVIDIA to further improve the app.
