Steps to Play Community Maps in Chained Together

Chained Together: How to Play Community Maps?

Chained Together was quite a hit when it came out. It was fun going through various difficulties with friends. However, for many of us, the game was quite short. So, the players who loved the game were waiting for them to release more levels for another adventure.

While I am not sure if the game developers are working on further levels, they did give hint that the game is not over. And to keep their players engaged, they introduced Workshop, where the community can publish their own maps.

So, while you wait for the developers, Anegar Games, to release further updates, you can enjoy community maps with your friends. And if you are wondering on how to play community, you can read the steps below.

Steps to Play Community Maps in Chained Together:

#1 – Download Community Maps:

You can download community maps either from their Steam Workshop or directly from the game. You will have more options to choose from as well as screenshots of the maps if you browse the Steam Workshop. So, I recommend you use that instead of downloading the maps in game.

Chained Together in-game Workshop Steps

However, if for some reasons, you prefer to download the maps in game then you can do so by clicking on the Workshop button when you open Chained Together.

After that, take a look at the names and click on the Follow button and the map you chose will be downloaded.

Chained Together Workshop

For Steam Workshop, you can simply open the link on your Steam app.

If you are unable to open the link in Steam then just open your Steam Library, click on Chained Together on your game list and then click on Workshop option there.

Now, just choose the map you want to play and setup password if you don’t want randoms to join you and create the session. That’s all!

How to delete the Community Maps?

If you are no longer interested in playing a certain community map then you can delete it easily by pressing Unfollow button on the game from where you downloaded it, or Unsubscribing in the Workshop website.

You can delete the community maps in Steam app as well.

You can also choose to delete the maps manually by opening your Steam Library > Right clicking on Chained Together > Properties > Workshop. Now simply click on the Delete button to delete any map you want.

Conclusion:

It is interesting to have community maps in this game, however, from my experience, the maps are not so optimised. These maps are created by players just like you, so keep that in mind while rating or commenting about them.

For a decent experience, I think all we can do is wait for the game developers to release further levels. Or maybe if they polish their map creator.
